THE WINE

The cellar has been fitted with custom-made processing equipment that can cater for gravity-fed production on a single level. This includes three types of red-wine fermenters – stainless steel, raised concrete and 7 500-litre French oak vats.
Our wines are best described as classic and elegant – with a twist of excitement and art. Always trying new experimental techniques but still as natural as possible – keeping things simple and as true to the earth as possible. "It is this that we strive to achieve in our wine," says Monique de Villiers, Head Winemaker. "Truth to the area we believe in simplicity by making elegant and balanced wines as natural as possible."
The blends can change from vintage to vintage because they always strive to stay fresh, trending and exciting, this could be because of that artist gene that runs the family. Never the less, the wines never disappoints.

THE COFFEE

We believe the best experience begins with the coffee itself, and that means working with an extraordinary roaster. At Bean&Vines Coffee Bar, all of our beans are sourced directly from our farm.
Bean&Vines Coffee bar area is literally built around a rocking wood-handled Slayer espresso and roasting machine that allows customers to get a first-hand look at their craft. They allow patrons to pick from a variety of beans and brewing methods to compare the tastes of single-origin brews and test the cutting edge of coffee technology.
The Coffee bar has an all-artisan-everything vibe. A real wonder to see and experience. The Master Brewer, Lourens Riekert (Also now husband of Marguerite - A true love story) worked for a world-famous coffee house in London for about 10 years and ended up learning alongside Monique and Marguerite whilst doing a short coffee-course in South Africa, they been in contact ever since. They decided to partner with each other when Bean&Vines was just an idea. Now they make a power group running the wine and coffee bar together.
