This wine bar and coffee shop was inspired by ‘n dream two siblings shared. Two sisters, twins shared a passion for making and creating amazing things. They grew up on a small farm, from a young age they learnt the art of gardening, self-produce and all kinds of hand-made arts. Their parents, strong in tradition and very family orientated showed them how to care and cherish the earth and its beauty. They grew up with strong values and was shown how love each other, nature and the people around them.
These Sisters share a love of creating beautiful things from nature’s produce and presenting it to the world. Monique found a fascination in the world of agriculture, after being introduces to Viticulture by a relative, she soon fell in love when she saw the art of growing vines, wine grapes and using this to create the final product…wine. She went on to complete her degree in Viticulture and Winemaking. Using her knowledge as winemaker to create beautiful artisan wines, spirits and even beers and ciders. Whilst doing the degree in winemaking and learning all the chemical and scientific process behind it, it is no surprise she – always being a coffee addict - wanted to know more about the brewing of it. This is what she did. Now proud owner of some awards around the world for coffee and winemaker.
Marguerite a free-spirit, spontanioous and true and loving soul. Marguerite had an undeniable love for nature and animals, since a small age she spent most of her time with her dogs. She went on to study language and culture, but her passion directed her to being an assistant vet instead. She never looked back she loved working with animals. This being a 3-day-a-week job, she had time to do more things she enjoyed. She always loved cooking and baking, thus also had a personal catering business on the side. Which people from around the whole country was talking about. The combination of Limiting trading hours, the very special atmosfphere , the most amazing dishes and tapas, and a menu that changes every month – made a winning business for her.
The magic came when they decided to start a siter-owned business.
Bean&Vines was born.
